Celebrating the Bicentenary of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh

In October 2017, the Bahá’’is of South Africa and their family, friends and colleagues will be joining millions of people around the world in celebrating the significant occasion of the 200 th anniversary of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh.

The festivities will involve people from countless ethnic backgrounds, demonstrating one of the fundamental teachings of Bahá’u’lláh: the principle of the oneness of the human race; the hallmark of His Revelation.

These celebrations will honor Bahá’u’lláh’s life and His teachings through devotion and myriad artistic expressions. This special occasion will also provide an opportunity to celebrate the richness of cultural and religious diversity in South Africa.
